Vietnam Airlines opens the Da Nang – Don Mueang route

To facilitate passenger travel between Vietnam and Thailand with a more diverse flight schedule, Vietnam Airlines will launch a new route connecting Da Nang with Don Mueang Airport, the second largest airport in Bangkok, starting November 29, 2023.

Vietnam Airlines will operate this route with a frequency of 7 flights per week using Airbus A321 aircraft. Flights will depart from Da Nang at 8:00 PM and from Don Mueang Airport at 5:05 AM every day of the week.

Currently, Vietnam Airlines operates 49 flights per week on direct routes between Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and Bangkok. Thailand is the destination with the highest capacity for Vietnam Airlines among its Southeast Asian routes. In the first nine months of 2023, the number of passengers transported on the Vietnam-Thailand route by Vietnam Airlines tripled compared to the same period in 2022, indicating a strong recovery and potential for growth in this market.

As a 4-star international airline according to Skytrax standards, Vietnam Airlines is committed to optimizing the passenger experience through new products and services. The airline is actively researching ways to increase frequency and launch new routes to further enhance its flight offerings between Vietnam and Thailand in the near future.
