Vietnam Airlines opens direct flights to Manila (Philippines)

From June 17, 2024, Vietnam Airlines will officially launch direct flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Manila, the capital of the Philippines. Specifically, the airline will operate the Hanoi-Manila route with a frequency of three flights per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. For the Ho Chi Minh City-Manila route, the frequency will be four flights per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

With this new service, Vietnam Airlines will operate a total of seven flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Manila. Vietnam Airlines is the first airline in Vietnam to open a route to the capital of the Philippines. This new route is significant for the international route development strategy of the national airline of Vietnam, connecting Manila, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City—key economic centers in Southeast Asia.

The opening of the direct route to Manila will also contribute to promoting economic, cultural, and tourism exchanges between Vietnam and the Philippines, as well as within the Southeast Asian region.
