Deputy General Director Trịnh Ngọc Thành Welcomes the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Vietnam
On the afternoon of January 16, Deputy General Director Trịnh Ngọc Thành welcomed and worked with His Excellency Shovgi Kamal Oglu Mehdizade, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Vietnam.
During the meeting, both sides discussed opportunities for economic and trade cooperation between Vietnam and Azerbaijan in the near future. Ambassador Shovgi Kamal Oglu Mehdizade emphasized that Azerbaijan highly values its relationship with Vietnam. He also expressed particular interest in Vietnam's traditions, culture, and history and wished to collaborate with Vietnam Airlines (VNA) in promoting tourism and opening direct flights between Vietnam and Azerbaijan.
In his conversation with the Ambassador, Deputy General Director Trịnh Ngọc Thành expressed his hope that the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan would continue to support VNA on its recovery path following the COVID-19 pandemic.
Regarding VNA's operations, the Deputy General Director noted that the domestic aviation market has recovered, but the international market still faces many challenges. VNA will gradually strive over the next 1-2 years to regain profits similar to those before the pandemic. He also affirmed that VNA is always seeking new opportunities and markets for extensive and sustainable development.
